ABOUT ME

I am a self employed freelance hair and makeup artist, originally based in Manchester and the North West. I am a very driven person, with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Makeup Artistry and Special Effects, and a BIG passion for what I do. I am continuously looking at new ideas and techniques, and always striving to improve on what I can achieve. Deriving from an art background, I continue to work and operate in an original, creative and individual way, and this can often be seen through my work. I am a people’s person, with 6 years’ experience in retail, working for prestigious makeup brands and high street retailers. I understand customer service and what it is to please a client or employer and I always strive to go the extra mile, in whatever I do.

I specialise in occasion and beauty work for my freelance business, creating a range of looks to suit every customer, all you have to do is ask. I also work in the Fashion/Editorial sectors of the industry, collaborating with excellent photographers, models and designers and I am always looking for new en-devours, to broaden my portfolio and build contacts within the industry. Most recently I have assisted key makeup artist Lan Nguyen at London Fashion Week, worked on the first clothing campaigns for online fashion company KoKo Kouture and had publications of my work in Company and Professional Hairdresser Magazine.

I have been lucky enough to travel with my work, and recently have been to Bollywood, India, where I worked in the prestigious Whistling Woods Studios in the heart of Film City. Here I had the pleasure of working on some of the biggest sets of Indian television as well as interacting and mentoring some of the fresh, up and coming talent soon to be pioneering the industry.
